Apple - iTunes I mentioned it in posts before and on my podcast , now it isready! Apple iTunes now has podcast support! What this means is that you no longer have to get a separate podcatcher to grab the BKLA Show and your other favorite podcasts. It is truly a one stop shop to use. Follow the link and go get your updated version of iTunes ( Version 4.9) for Windows or Mac and you can subscribe to the show and get automatic updates. No more searching - Here's whatt to do - open the itunes Music Store and click on the podcast button. Now you can subscribe with one click to any of the featured Podcasts or, You can also enter BKLA Podcast in the search window - and You will find the Show there ( It's also listed in the AudioBlogs section as well). Click on the subscribe button and You will get the show as it updates automatically. Plus, If you use an iPod - It will auttomatically by on your iPod to go when you sync up. I suggest that you check out some of the other podcasts that I recommended - and Check out the Podfinder podcast. Podcasting News: Jobs Announces iTunes Support for Podcasts Just coaught this bit of news From the Podccasting News Site. Looks like it's goig to get very easy to grab your podcasts ( Like BKLA) right in Itunes. Looks Like Version 4.9 should be coming out soon and allow you to have simple, integrated support for podcasts - right in Itunes. What this really means - Is that you don't reallly have to worry about running a seperate program to get you podcasts - You will just need to one program - ITunes. The big thing about this is that it's going to make it so much better for the listeners of podcasts - Because that , I think has been the biggest problem - It was too complex for some people to figure out how to get the podcasts and stay subscribed and updated. Not much information is available yet - But Steve jobs says that the new version should be available in the next 60 days. So Check your Itunes and software updates and install tthe new version ot simplify your podcast listening. BKLA

I have just been doing some testing with the free trial and once I get everything in order - I should be movving the podcast over to the podlot! Hey I'm out and about checking for a new hosting situation - I am hearing from a few people that there is some problem with certain of the ipodder software ( particularly with some for Windows users) that the .Mac hosting is getting a bit tricky. You should be able to play any of the podcasts right in your browser, no matter what system - But I am looking into the possibility of getttting my own domain name and hosting service ffor the podcast. Stay tuned here for a change. BTW - iff you are thinking of getting your own domain name - just stopped by Go Daddy.com ( Link above) and it looks like a good deal - I should have found them before - I think that this is one good price for getting your domain name registered. Click the link above and you can learn more about it. The big thingg about it is the ability to subscribe to audio content ond timeshift the concumption of audio content. Think TiVo for radio. Also, I posted a bit about firefox in a previous post. If you would like to listen to the podcast and don't want to figure out using a program to download - The Fireffox browser has a very cool feature - It allows you to add a bookmark in your tool bar and you can get a dropdown menu of the feeds - like when a new post or podcast is available form this site! - So when you are browsing you just put the cursor on the like to the BKLA podcast ( or many other sites with feeds) and can see the headlines forthe new posts. It also works for news items and such . This way you can get a quick over view off new items and only go to the ones you wnat directly! You really should check it out. It's called Foxfire. I've heard that this browser was fast , but I've heard that all the time before. However - I am now using it and it is really fast. I generally am online using a high-speed connection , and the pages load fast - but they are even faster with Foxfire. And, there are a lot of cool add-ons and themes you can use to make your internet experience even better. Alright, Everybody. Now we are rolling. The third podcast is up and ready to go. I am having a blast with this. And more and more people are getting back in touch with me and giving feed back.. ON this podcast, I have some audio recording using my ipod and the Griffith iTalk mic - a little choppy and glitchy , but I do have some "recorded on the scene" audio from the Latest Ben Affleck movie, Man About Town. Also, more music and talk. And each time I do this, I feel a little more comfortable and a little more excited. This has been a cool , fun experiment for me so ffar. I hope youlike it. Some people wanted to know about the Adam Wyle songs I played - you can check out his website and find out more about hhim at: www.adamwyle.com. Also, use the voice mail number for the podcast - love to be able to add it to the program - Call in now! ONe more New thing - I downloaded the free Skype phone - and my Skype name is bklapodcast. It's free and you can make skype to skype calls on it - as well as buy minutes ( very cheep) to call regular phones from your computer. I'll put a post and the link up in a minute. I also will check out some of the other podcast agrigators and put links to them for you - I keep learning more about how to get this on your computer easil and simply. Okay, The second podcast is up and running! Thanks for the feedback from the test group who i sent out the info for on the first podcast. I am really trying to improve the show and taking requests. On this show, I have some original music of mine ( by request) - The Oscar's Nominees were announced and also a review of The Aviator by Stanley Stepaltomansky - the Southsider. I really appreciated the feed back I've gotten ffrom that test group off people and would love to hear from more of you. Leave a comment, send an e-mail or leave a voice mail! - Use the new voicemail number and you could be on the show! You can of course listen right here by clicking the link, but The simplest way is to use Ipodder - The links to download the free software is on the page - and it works in Windows and Mac, as well as Unix - for those of you who really know what you are doing. And it's automatic. You can add the News feed, telling you when new podcasts are available by adding the feed to your My Yahoo! home page - click the link and there it will be!
